We are hugely excited to be exhibiting in the second edition of the highly regarded Art SG art fair in Singapore from the 19th to the 21st of January 2024. We will be showing new works by Tim Braden and Minami Kobayashi.
Minami Kobayashi was born in 1989 in Nagoya, Japan, and lives and works in London. She holds an MFA in Painting and Drawing from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago (2018) and a BFA in Painting from Tokyo University of the Arts (2016).
Recent solo exhibitions include Goldfinch Gallery (Chicago) and Frestonian Gallery (London). She has exhibited in group shows at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum, Setouchi International Triennale 2019 (Japan), Western Exhibitions (Chicago), Stems Gallery (Belgium), Dongdaemun Design Plaza (South Korea) and Shulamit Nazarian (Los Angeles). Recent exhibitions include 'Place and Presence' (with Patrick Procktor), Frestonian Gallery, London, 2023 and 'I Spell a Word to Free You' (with Adrianne Rubinstein), Et Al Gallery (San Francisco & NADA Miami). In the autumn of 2024, Frestonian Gallery will host a major solo exhibition of Kobayashi's work accompanied by a publication on the artists' career-to-date.
Tim Braden was born in 1975 in Perth, Scotland and lives and works in London. He received his MA from Ruskin School of Fine Art at Oxford University and attended Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
Braden has exhibited widely, including at Baibakov Art Projects, Moscow; Gemeente Museum, The Hague; Hamburger Bahnhof at Museum für Gegenwart, Berlin; Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo; Museum Van Loon, Amsterdam; and Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam and the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds. Recent solo exhibitions include 'El Universal' at Ryan Lee Gallery, New York, 2023 and 'La Coloriste' at Frestonian Gallery, London, 2023. His work is included in many public collections, including the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford; Nederlandse Bank, Amsterdam; Pembroke College, Oxford; Walsall Museum and Art Gallery, UK; and the Zabludowicz Collection, London.
